It's been a tiering morning however , I guess very productive as my tutorials have started in Logic Pro X Great quote from " Pedagogogy of the Oppressed" Great quote to end the working week! " knowledge emerges only through invention and re- invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquirery human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and with each other." Today I visit dalgarno way the street I grew up on, I walk pass my first primary school and wormwood scrubs and will be checking out the building s they've put in place of the community centre I grew up in. It's been 27 yrs since I've been back. Monday I visited the Ai Wei Wei exhibition which was really interesting - I found I could relate to his cathartic acts of making work of tge places that have been destroyed. Yesterday I attended the field recording course at Lux studios learning about various mics and programs - think I learnt so much in the 7 hrs - really excellent teacher is Edward Lucas! Another great thing from the day was clicking with a brilliant London bassed artist named Sabrina Osbourn. Definatly will be keeping in touch ! I'll be uploading better high quilty images when I return. Shame about the rain to day and bring the wrong shoes!!! (Needed to travel light!) |
