Last week i was invited to speak on the radio-Londo (listen here) to discuss life in Leicester & my current project, along side Street Artist Anna Laurini.
Last week Jude Cowan Montague in London invited me onto radio station Resonance as part of the NEWS AGENTS program to discuss life in Leicester and my current project, alongside street artist Anna Laurini.
(I appear 01.24 - 09:07 )
Both Jude and Anna were brilliant. Anna is really interesting discussing a commitment to simplicity and focus in one area and her excitement for street art. Her work can be seen all over the streets of London and I can really see how her paintings stand out (painting see below).
Jude, also an artist (visual arts, writing, spoken word, musician), I met in Venice as we are both exhibiting at the Venice Biennale. In fact, 30 minutes after we met we went into a derelict building on the Lido and created a huge installation using found materials (see here) with a few other exhibiting artists. On the radio here she made my day by singing and playing the piano - a really quirky gorgeous set, loved it (listen from 12:36).
